TV-62M is a Bulgarian armored recovery vehicle based on the Soviet T-62M tank. In 1988, 150 T-62M tanks were delivered to Bulgaria by the Soviet Union. These tanks were withdrawn from service due to issues with the 115mm main gun. Some of these were then converted into the TV-62M armored recovery vehicle.

The turret was removed and replaced by the fixed upper half of a T-55 or T-55A turret. The turret had the main gun removed and faced the rear. A 12.7mm DShK machine gun is mounted on the cupola. A small winch is located on the left rear of the hull. The vehicle also has tow bars among other equipment.
